Why people form in Florida

There are many reasons to setup a Florida entity for your business.  Many people decide to form a business to limit their liability.  This is one of the most important reasons mentioned by our customers.  Florida is a very popular state to form an LLC or corporation within as approximately 280,000 LLCs and corporations were formed in 2006.  There are over 1 million active corporate and limited liability companies in the state.  So as you can see, it is a very popular state to form a business, and we can help you setup your company.

Many of the filings each year are for small businesses as the state continues to attract more and more residents.  There are also many business types that are required to form a business entity as regulated by the State.

Contractors Rush to Form Corporations in Florida

As of January 2004, the State of Florida mailed over 100,000 individuals’ paperwork notifying them about a new regulation allows only officers of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC) to elect to be exempt from workers’ compensation.  This is very common in many states, but the change in laws forced a large number of contractors to setup LLCs or corporations to limit their exposure to workers compensation.

We’ll take care of the filing of your Florida Articles of Incorporation or Florida Articles of Organization to setup a new Florida LLC or corporation and monitor the approval process throughout.
