Business Maintenance

All Oregon Corporations and LLCs Must File: 

  • Articles of Incorporation
    Oregon corporations and LLCs are formed by filing the Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Organization with the Secretary of State. It costs $100 to form an Oregon corporation or LLC.
  • Beneficial Ownership Information Report
    Nearly all businesses formed by filing with the state of Oregon must file a federal Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) following business formation. You can file online through FinCEN at no cost. Or, take advantage of our professional BOI report filing service for just $25.
  • Annual Business Renewal
    Oregon corporations and LLCs must file annual reports with the Secretary of State. There is a $100 fee to file the Oregon annual business renewal and it can be done online.

Oregon Business Taxes

Individual Income Tax
Oregon individual income tax rates:

If your taxable income is $3,250 or less, then your tax rate is 5%.
If your taxable income is between $3,251 and $8,150, your tax rate is 7%.
If your taxable income is between $8,150 and $125,000, then your tax 9%.
If your taxable income is over $125,000, then your tax is $11,015 plus 9.9% of excess over $125,000.

Excise Tax

The excise tax is basically an income tax on all corporations that do business in Oregon. The tax rate on income under $1 million is 6.6%. The tax rate in income over $1 million is 7.6%.

 Oregon Business License

Oregon does not have a general business license requirement. Many businesses do need occupational or local licenses to operate in Oregon.
