All Rhode Island Corporations and LLCs Must File: 

  • Articles of Incorporation
    Rhode Island corporations and LLCs are formed by filing the Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Organization with the Rhode Island Corporation Commission. It costs $230 to form a Rhode Island corporation or $150 for a Rhode Island LLC.
  • Beneficial Ownership Information Report
    Nearly all businesses formed by filing with the state of Rhode Island must file a federal Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) following business formation.   • Annual Report
